Camila is a pastry chef and food systems expert. She is passionate about understanding where ingredients come from and how our choices in the kitchen have an impact on the planet. Camila lives in London, where she leads the pastry team at e5 Bakehouse, working with local grains, seasonal produce, and techniques that honour artisanal craftsmanship.

She founded De La Raíz al Plato to share stories about food biodiversity and raise awareness about food systems issues in Latin America. Camila holds an MSc in Food Policy and is currently researching the cuisine of the Latin American diaspora in the UK, as well as the role of chefs in transforming food systems. She also writes reflections and recipes in her Substack, Latina Cooking.
